After a postponement of SSC Junior Exam to different different
dates final staff selection conducted a common written examination for the recruitment
of Junior Engineer Civil , and Junior Engineer
Electrical in Central Public Works Department CPWD and Department of Posts, JE CIVIL, JE ELECTRICAL &
MECHANICAL, JE Quantity Surveying & Contract in Military Engineering
Service MES, JE CIVIL & MECHANICAL in Central Water Commission CWC and
Farakka Barrage. More then one lakh candidates participated in this examination.
Due to large no of vacancy this year candidates filled application form on a
large scale.
First of SSC today conducted Paper 1 for the recruitment of
Junior Engineer. evaluation of Paper 2 of Civil Engineering and evaluation of paper
2 of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering will depend on the on the paper 1 cut off marks 2013 fixed by the
SSC, following by category wise. That why we brought previous year cutoff marks
for for SSC JE paper 1. we hope this

Cutoff will not be more than 90-95 marks...as this is always the case...and also cutoff will be based on number of candidates that have given the exam...as per my experience cutoff will not be above 95/200 for objective papet

paper-2 cutoff(gen) was 139 last year for mech/elec
what is the expected cutoff of paper -2 civil....many are saying paper was easy, but i think it was too lengthy, dat no one can do it in 2 hrs, also numericals of RCC and survey was above the level of this exam as dose were from IES....please anyone tell me the expected cutoff of paper -2 civil...and also anwer keys of paper -I.

Regarding ME Paper 2: paper was lengthy not many candidates have attempted 75% of the paper...also..for this year's paper 2 cutoff will be less than as that of last year's I.e., 139/300..rest depends on number of candidates who qualifies for paper 2...

Last year in ssc je exam for civil..paper 2 cutoff for obc was 54/300...this time if you're getting your stated marks...then you'll definitely get thru this time

SSC is taking too much time in uploading the ans keys..
If the no. of vacancies remain same as that of last year final cutoff for civil may end up a bit on lower side due to conventional paper being comparatively lengthier and a little tougher as well.
@raju...yes i agree with u....as i was preparing for ssc je civil...and had seen last four years papers...paper -2 of 2013 was not only lengthier but was also little tough as pattern was changed...i dont know how SSC's people think that such a lengthy paper can be solved in 2hrs...if this paper was of 3 hrs...than can be considered not typical...but as the time was less and 50% paper was theoretical...i m also hoping for lower cut off this time....but main point of concern is that this year no. of candidates are approx. 3 times of last year...so nything can happen in final result...just hoping positively...

some question were like asked in conventional IES.Also Hysteresis and hard soft magnet is from eng materials which not in thier syllabus.

Hi guys pls use name...and obc guys cut off for paper 2 can not be more than 110 though last year it was 99....for gen it may be around 130-140. I have also attempted 220 marks paper..but even then its difficult to get 130 marks as u never gets full marks for theory questions
There is no chance for gettinh rejected...you'll get selected..if you are getting that much marks...by saying genius I mean that mech paper 2 was very much lengthy..very few were able to get that done for that much marks..

1)a steel bar is fixed at both ends.if it is heated the stress induced will be.
2)which milling process has better surface finish?
Tensile stresses will induce....don't knw 2nd...but I think I opted for face milling as it is finishing operation

M 100% sure ans should be tensile stresses.. when steel is heated it will try to expand ,since its ends are fixed..tensile stress will induce...if it were free to expand den dere would be no stresses

@mountking how can u say dat dis tym 200 vacancies are more..last tym ssc had advertised 300 vacancies for mech/elec,,but they filled 600 vacancies at the end...due to massive recruitment in MES.....I doubt if such huge vacancies in MES r possible again...so no. Of vacancies may decrease also

Ssc me is baar sirf mechanical ka recruitment hoga.ee aur civil ka vaccancy last year ke candidate se fill karne ke baad hamari baari aaygi. Kyunki ye court ka decision hai. Last time ka vaccancy khali tha aur use fill nahi kiya gya tha to is par case ho gya tha.

Bro u r wrong..check write up carefully...cpwd(elect) and MES (E&M) are names of posts...but for these two both mech and elect cand r eligible...last tym after paper 2 out of total 1083 selected cand around 738 were mech cand nd 345 were elect cand..last year dere was massive recruitment of mech engg in MES...hope d trend continuous

yaar hum sab itna negative kyon sochte hain.i know ki exams me man me kafi negativa thoughts aate hain but kahi na kahi positiveness bhi jaruri hai yaar.ye lecture main isliye de raha hun kyunki sbhi keh rhe hain ki cut off is baar badhega.hum ye bhi to soch sakte hain na ki is baar cut off kam ho jayega.BE POSITIVE YAAR SAB ACHA HOGA.SABKA SELECTION HO JAYEGA.KHUD PAR AUR BHAGWAN PAR TRUST RAKHO.OK.

Yes its possible...kyuki CGL ke ilawa aur kisi v exam ki ( FCI, MTS) ans key nhi aayi...so result aug ke first week tak declare ho jana chahiye

Paper-1 Some time consuming than 2012 paper 1 i.e General Apptitude part, Technical was of similar level
Paper 2 easy to score 140-150 marks if some one has prepared the topics which was asked in 2012 paper
